Ever so simple
Art Guidelines
Art Guidelines
This thread will be short and sweet, but is a required read for anyone looking to post pieces of their artwork on the site.
1. Do not steal material.
Our artists work hard on their original works and to take something that isn't yours and claim it is is both disappointing and shameful. Don't be a jerk.
2. Make sure you watermark your work.
Whether that means writing a signature in or putting some sort of hover over top of your graphics, you'll want to protect your creative works as well as you can.
3. Do not harass a member for art.
If a member has agreed to make something for you, please be patient. Depending on the medium and the detail your piece can take some time to finish up. It is okay to ask how it is coming along but understand that any and all artists here have a right to turn you away if you are impatient and rude about it.
4. If you are willing to offer your artistic flare to other members, make a "shop" in the "services" sub board.
This way members can find exactly what they are looking for easily.
5. If you want to show off your artwork but do not wish to offer your services, post in either the "hedgehog related" or "Miscellaneous" sub boards.
Be sure to sort your work into the appropriate area depending on what the theme is.
6. We accept pretty much any type of art you can make.
Digital, traditional, painting, or pencil, your art will be welcome here.
7. If your art has more sensitive material (Nudity, gore, ect) be sure to mark the thread subject with a HTS (Short for hard to see).
This will warn other members that do not wish to see it to avoid the thread.
8. Although we accept artistic nudity, please do not post pornographic artwork.
Visible breasts and genitals are acceptable in this section as long as they serve a purpose in your art, but do not post artwork depicting sexual acts. We all know how the reproductive system works, and this website needs to stay fairly tame. Keep in mind that children looking to learn about hedgehogs may stumble across our site.
9. Our artists have a right to turn down any project they do not feel comfortable with.
Do not hold it against anyone for turning you away. They have their reasons.
10. Do not ask any artist to make you something for you that goes against our forum rules.
Self explanatory.
11. You may have your artwork critiqued if you wish.
Those who critique artwork must do so respectfully. Constructive criticism is great, but do not make fun of anyone's artwork maliciously. If you critique, point out things you really like about the work as well as areas you think could use improving. Just don't be a jerk.
That's everything guys! Get out there and start blowing everyone's mind with your talent!
