If you have come to this post it is likely you are hoping to become a staff member on our site! We currently have two positions available. Thank you for your interest. Below you will find a summary of each position as well as requirements to be considered for the job. Take your time on your application. There is no deadline, as I would very much like to make sure the best people for the job are chosen.
Co-administrator
A co-admin will play a large role on this site. Not only will you assist me when it comes to keeping the boards streamlined and clean, but you will be expected to have a great deal of knowledge on African pygmy hedgehogs. An experienced owner or breeder would make an excellent candidate for this position. Previous forum staff experience is absolutely an asset, but isn't required. The most important thing is your knowledge on the species. As you will be another go to source of information for our members you need to have up to date accurate information. You will spend a lot of time conversing with myself on improvements and complications that come with running a forum.
Moderator
A moderator will play a large role on our site when it comes to keeping the boards organized, and will be a go to source for members in regards to forum cleanliness. A moderator will be expected to watch the boards for mistakes, inappropriate content, and abuse. You will be expected to become very familiar with our forum rules as well as enforcing them. Knowledge on African pygmy hedgehogs is a great asset, even if it is a more indirect position.

I'd rather have someone who can admit they lack certain knowledge than someone who lies about the knowledge they have. This entire site is all about learning and we are constantly growing and learning, too!

Do you have prior forum staff experience? Yes/no.
