Mini-profile guide
Hey guys! If you're on this post I imagine you are having a hard time getting your mini profile to display the way you want it to. That's what this handy little guide is for. It'll be short and sweet, and much less complicated than you'd think. Now keep in mind, the way your profile is filled out will differ based on which skin you are using. You can fill out both sections if you wish to make sure your stuff displays correctly no matter which skin other members use. I would recommend filling out as much as you can for both options.
"Revolution skin" Member Mini-profile
Go to your profile page and click "edit profile".
You will be brought to your avatar upload page. Keeping your avatar set to 220X350 will keep the avatar looking sharp on the purple dream skin, however if you are wanting to default your skin to Revolution the avatar size is 150X150. USE A URL, DO NOT UPLOAD IT. If you upload your photo proboards attempts to adjust the size to something smaller and it ends up looking weird.
Next, click on the "personal" tab.
You will find all the basic proboards sections you can fill out. All sections excluding the 200X100 gif section apply to this particular skin.
Time Zone - Write in whichever time zone you are a part of so other members have an idea of when you will be most active.
Sexual orientation - This section is optional. You can type whatever your sexual orientation is in this spot.
Gender - Male, female or otherwise, you can type whatever gender you'd like into this spot.
Song - Paste the url to a song you love. It will be playable in your mini profile.
Large Avatar - This is where the URL to whatever image you want to display first on your posts comes in. Make sure the image is large enough or it may end up pixelated. You do not need to adjust this particular image to a specific size, as the forum will do that for you.
Personal - You may have noticed the extra section for text in your mini-profile. This is where you may type out a poem, your favorite quotes, or pretty much anything else you'd like to have displayed as long as it follows the forum rules.
Occupation - This section is also optional, but if you'd like you can put your job title here. You can even put a fake one in if you'd like. This section is specifically built in for any breeders that may join.
Country - Place your country of origin here. This helps members be aware of geographical differences and of course, differences in care tactics that vary from continent to continent.
Alias - You can place your real name here if you opted to make your account under a different name.
Small image - Paste the url to a small image you want to show up in your mini profile. It should be 70X150 pixels in size. It can be animated if you wish.
Age - Put your age in numbers here.
My Pets - If you have created a board in "the pet place" board with a summary of your pets and their stories you can take the URL from that post and place it here. This makes it more convenient for other members who may be trying to figure out who owns which pet.
Personal Image - This image will also show up in your mini profile. It can be animated if you wish. The image size should be 190X128 pixels.
Relationship status - This section is optional, however if you wish to share your relationship status with the forum it can be placed here. You can choose from the standard options: Single, married, commonlaw, or it's complicated also works. You can also make something up.
"Purple Dream skin" Member Mini-profile
Go to your profile page and click "edit profile".
You will be brought to your avatar upload page. This part can be kind of annoying so I will address it briefly. Your avatar must be 220X350. You will want to make sure you have your avatar uploaded to an external source like photobucket or imgur. Click on "Use only the Uploaded/Linked". USE A URL, DO NOT UPLOAD IT. If you upload your photo proboards attempts to adjust the size to something smaller and it ends up looking weird.
Next, click on the "personal" tab.
You will find all the basic proboards sections you can fill out, so go ahead and do that if you'd like. The 200X100 gif section is the only one that applies to this particular skin. The other extras appear on the Revolution skin.
Afterward click on the "privacy" tab.
Scroll down to "Gender visibility" and click yes instead of no.
Next find the "Birthday visibility" drop down section and set it to "Show full birthday".
